Information for participants
Research is under way to gather information to inform the development of a Visitor Strategy for Aotea/Great Barrier Island, with a focus on the sustainable development of tourism on the Island. The Strategy will be developed in conjunction with iwi, public agencies, residents and community groups, tourism and transport operators, and local businesses. The New Zealand Tourism Research Institute at the Auckland University of Technology is conducting this research on behalf of the Great Barrier Local Board and ATEED.
As a recent visitor to Great Barrier Island, you are invited to participate in this survey.

The survey should take about 15-20 minutes to complete.
Participation is voluntary and your survey answers are anonymous. All questions are optional. You must be 18 years or older to participate in the survey. By taking the survey you are giving consent to be part of this research.
The New Zealand Tourism Research Institute undertakes this research with the understanding that findings may be used in publications and presentations. A summary of the findings of this project will be posted on www.nztri.org during 2018.
